Naot Donation

Chandler's Walk Shoppe in Salt Lake City recently had the opportunity of donating 60 pair of sandals to the South Valley Sanctuary in the south end of the Salt Lake valley. The South Valley Sanctuary is a shelter for women. Some of the women also have their children with them. One young woman appeared with a T-shirt, jeans, and ragged flip-flops. These were the only possessions she had. She was overjoyed to have new shoes, in fact, she received two pair! This was a great experience for employees Leona Chandler, Jessica Atkinson and Sarah Dickey.

Chandler's has been able to provide sandals to three diferent community facilities in the past three years. These facilities are critical in meeting the neeeds of the homeless and needy. Yaleet/Naot, a shoe company based in New York and Israel, has been the source of the shoes. Naot has a corporate philosophy of doing their part in giving back to communities - 'casting their bread on the water'.

At Chandlers Walk Shoppe, our staff is trained to recognize and explain many of the symptoms of the most common foot problems that are encountered. We can provide suggestions about what type of shoes or insert can help with pain or correct a specific problem dealing with the foot.

Employment Opportunity

Are you looking for a change of pace in your work? Chandler’s will be hiring a new employee in the next few weeks. This is a fun and rewarding place to work, but it can be demanding – both physically and emotionally. First requirement: you must be a people person. Not just talkative, but patient and able to listen well and deal creatively with occasional challenging situations. Second requirement: the job is physically demanding with a lot of walking, standing up and squatting down on a fitting stool, bending over and light lifting.

You would be working part-time, 15-20 hours per week, including shifts on 1-2 Saturdays each
month.
